-I am inquiring about employment for the Robotics Software Engineer position.
+I am inquiring about employment for the 5th - 8th Grade
+STEM Teacher position.
-I am currently involved with the Santa Barbara Hackerspace.
-We were donated one of your robots and I have been greatly enjoying the process of restoring
-the robot to a working condition. I believe that my previous experience in building advanced \cpp \space applications,
-as well as my prior experience building and producing hardware/software systems,
-will strongly relate to helping advance the work InTouch is doing.
-Constantly learning and pushing my knowledge of new technical skills is important to me,
-and it looks like this position, and working with the InTouch team would allow me to do just that.
-I feel that the combination of my skills, as well as my desire and ability to quickly learn new skills,
-could make me be a valuable asset to your team and help build better medical robots in the future.
+During the this 2019-2020 school year, I helped a student create
+a bike helmet notifier. The bike now beeps and flashes a light
+if the rider is not wearing the matching helmet. To accomplish
+this, we used an arduino on the bike and another on the helmet.
+They communicated via bluetooth. Under the seat, we added
+load cells to detect the presence of a person sitting. Inside
+the helmet, we used bend sensors to detect whether the helmet
+was on. I believe this demonstrates strong subject matter
+expertise and makes me a strong candidate for the position.
-I look forward to discussing my qualifications further and can be reached by email at
-\href{loman.daniel@gmail.com}{\textcolor{color2}{loman.daniel@gmail.com}}.
+Since I am coming to professional education through
+a non-traditional route, I am not currently certificated. However,
+I would certainly go through the process. For the
+past 3.5 years, Gideon Hausner, a jewish day school for K-8 students
+has employed me. During that time, I have built relationships with
+students, parents, teachers and faculty.
+
+As a result, I have received many recommendation letters. Hopefully
+these letters can get me into a teaching position that supports me
+while I pursue more traditional certification.
