* arduino to deck
  these questions are about attaching the arduino to the deck.
  you used a drill and drill bit to make holes for bolts to go
  through.
  we drilled through the arduino into the deck.

* motor
  these questions are about attaching the motor to the deck.
  to attach the motor to the deck, first we attached motor mounts.
  the motor mounts are the square things with 6 holes of
  various sizes.
  1. the bolts used to attach the arduino are =6-32= bolts.
     the bolts used to attach the motor to the motor mount are
     =4-40= bolts.
     Are the =4-40= bolts fatter or thinner than the =6-32=?
  2. if you see a bolt described as =4-40x1.25"= how long is it?
  3. on a =4-40= bolt, how many times does the thread wrap around
     one inch of the body?
     4 times?
     40 times?
     1. how many times does the thread of a =4-40= bolt wrap around
        two inches of the body?

* breadboard
  the breadboard is the white thing in the middle of the deck.
  it has a black thing plugged into it.
  almost everything with wires plugs into the breadboard.

  3. why are we using solid core wire for plugging into
     the breadboard?
  4. do we have the black chip (motor controller) be on the left or
     the right of the breadboard?
  5. why should the chip be on the right on our robot?
* batteries
  there are two battery packs on the robot.
  one of them powers the motors, and is in the clear battery pack.
  the black battery pack powers the arduino.
  1. why are the battery packs between the wheels and caster
     (roughly)?
  2. should you pick up a battery by the wires coming out of it?
  3. what are the wires coming out of the battery called?
  4. why do we put the glue dots on the side of the battery pack
     without the on/off switch?
* caster
  the caster is the solid metal sphere.
  it is held in a 3d printed plastic housing called the caster standoff.
  the standoff is fixed to the deck with 3 nuts and bolts.

  2. why is the caster in the middle of the back, instead of on the
     left or right?
  3. what would happen if there were no caster on the back
     of the robot?
