2 (connect your robot to your computer via usb cable)
4 (in arduino ide, open serial.ino)
5 (hit the upload button)
7 or go to the menu item tools, and down to serial monitor)
8 (in the bottom right, select "9600 baud")
9 (hit the reset button on the arduino)
10 (you should see "hello computer!" each time you hit the reset button)
